How to split a subtitle file
- Choose one SRT or basic VTT file.
- Select the boundary after a cue and inspect both adjacent cues.
- Optionally rebase Part B, then download both files.
Example
The sample contains four cues. Choose any boundary from 1 to 3; no boundary is selected for you.
What is preserved and what changes
Text, cue order, and original timing are preserved by default. Optional rebasing subtracts one constant offset from Part B only.
Limitations
This creates exactly two files. It does not choose a split automatically, repair timing, edit cues, or synchronize to media.

Can either output be empty?
No. Only interior cue boundaries are accepted.
What does rebasing Part B do?
It moves Part B's first cue to zero while preserving every duration and relative gap.
Does splitting change the subtitle text?
No. Cue text and order are preserved.
