Example result
The example contains two Unicode cues. It produces a basic ASS file and shows the centisecond rounding notice.
The example above uses this exact fixture and can be reset like any selected file.
What is preserved
- Cue order and visible wording
- Intentional subtitle line breaks
- Valid source timing, subject to disclosed centisecond rounding
What changes
- SRT timestamps are rounded independently to ASS centiseconds.
- Output uses one fixed neutral ASS v4+ style and normalized LF syntax.
Limits
- No ASS style controls or font attachments
- SRT presentation tags, HTML entities, braces, and ASS control tokens are blocked
- No audio sync, timing repair, translation, upload, or login
Frequently asked questions
Does this preserve SRT timing exactly?
ASS stores centiseconds, so each timestamp is rounded to the nearest 0.01 second. The tool blocks a cue if rounding removes its positive duration.
Can I choose fonts or positioning?
No. This focused converter emits one portable default style. It is not an ASS styling editor.
Are my subtitles uploaded?
No. Reading, conversion, preview, copy, and download happen in your browser.
