Shift SRT or VTT subtitle timing
Move every subtitle cue earlier or later by one exact offset without uploading your file.
Subtitle file
Choose one UTF-8 SRT or VTT file up to 2 MiB.
Time offset
Positive moves subtitles later. Negative moves them earlier.
Shifted result
Choose a file and enter a non-zero offset to create a local result.
Your file stays in this browser.
This tool cannot verify audio or video synchronization.
How it works
- Choose one SRT or VTT file.
- Enter a positive or negative offset.
- Review the timing facts and download the shifted file.
One global offset, no guessing
Use this when the whole subtitle track is early or late by the same amount. It does not inspect media, change cue text, or correct cue-by-cue drift.
SRT time shift FAQ
Does this upload my subtitle file?
No. Parsing, shifting, and download creation happen in your browser.
Can it synchronize subtitles to audio?
No. It applies one offset you provide and cannot compare the file with audio or video.
Does it fix overlaps or cue-level drift?
No. Existing overlap and ordering relationships stay unchanged and remain visible as a warning.
