How to merge subtitle files
- Add two to ten same-format files.
- Check the order and choose an optional gap.
- Merge, review the facts, and download one subtitle file.
Example
The sample loads opening.srt and closing.srt. At a zero-second gap, the second file starts exactly when the first file's maximum end is reached.
What is preserved and what changes
Cue text, relative timing, valid overlap, and selected order are preserved. Later files receive one constant time offset; SRT cue numbers are regenerated.
Limitations
This is sequential append only. It does not overlay, interleave, deduplicate, cross-convert, or synchronize subtitles to media.
Subtitle Merger FAQ
Can I merge SRT and VTT together?
No. Every selected file must use the same detected format.
Can I add the same subtitle file twice?
Yes. Repeated files are intentional and stay in the selected order.
Does this synchronize subtitles to audio?
No. It only appends files using their existing cue timing and your selected gap.
