This policy explains how TimedSubs handles account data, uploaded files, generated subtitle assets, billing records, support requests, and files processed locally by the Chrome extension.
Data we process
TimedSubs stores account identifiers, workspace records, project metadata, uploaded scripts and audio, generated subtitle results, quality issues, export records, usage records, and support messages needed to operate the service.
How files are used
Uploaded scripts and media are used to create subtitle timing, quality-check results, and exports for your workspace. For song processing, Runpod receives the selected audio or video and any lyrics you provide. Deepgram may receive a short audio sample to detect the language. External services may retain request records under their own agreements.
Storage and deletion
Deletion removes access immediately. Media, scripts, subtitles, and recoverable copies within the service are cleaned up in the background. Necessary billing and usage records remain. Copies already downloaded or received by external services are outside this cleanup. Backup erasure is not confirmed by the project cleanup receipt.
Anonymous media subtitle trials
For an anonymous media subtitle trial, we temporarily upload the audio or video you select and may use external processing services. We do not create an anonymous project or history. Ordinary trial media is deleted after processing, and anonymous subtitle downloads expire within one hour. Song trials keep the original media for preview until you claim the result or the trial expires. Claiming after sign-in copies the media and result to your workspace, where the normal deletion rules apply. We retain hashed IP and request records needed to enforce trial limits. Billing and support
Payment providers may process subscription and one-time PAYG checkout, order, invoice, and refund records. Support requests may include account email, project references, purchase records, and troubleshooting details you choose to send.
Chrome extension
The TimedSubs Subtitle Converter Chrome extension processes the subtitle or text file you select only in memory on your device. Files and converted output are never uploaded, are not transmitted to TimedSubs or third parties, and are not retained after the popup closes. The extension requests no permissions and uses no analytics, accounts, or remote code.

If you sign up, we store the source of your first visit, such as the search engine or campaign that brought you here, with your account.
TimedSubs turns the script and audio you provide into subtitle timing, quality-check results, and export files.
