FAQ

Clear workflow details before upload.

The product starts with the files you provide, keeps your wording intact, and makes quality problems visible before delivery.

How do I create an SRT from a finished script and voiceover?

Upload the finished script and matching voiceover. The script-to-SRT workflow keeps the submitted wording intact and adds audio-aligned timing.

Will TimedSubs rewrite my script?

No. The uploaded script stays unchanged. Speech recognition only supports timing checks and flags places where the audio may not match the script.

Which subtitle formats can I export?

Export SRT, VTT, SBV, ASS, timecoded TXT, JSON, and ZIP according to your plan. For SRT, VTT, or TXT changes right in your browser, use the subtitle converter.

Do all platforms accept every exported file?

Different platforms and editors use different subsets of those files. Choose the subtitle file that works with the tools you already use.

What happens when quality checks find timing problems?

Serious timing issues stay visible until fixed, including overlaps, invalid timestamps, and negative durations. Use the free subtitle checker right in your browser for an existing SRT or VTT file; it does not rebuild timestamps.

How does subtitle translation keep its timing?

You can try a free anonymous translation right on the translator page. Creator subscriptions add source-minute translation with starter term protection, and Studio adds more languages, glossary sets, and enhanced language checks. Original timestamps stay in place while serious timing issues remain visible. See the subtitle translation workflow.

How do I request API access?

Studio and Agency API access is private beta. Public API docs explain the boundary, but reading them does not grant credentials or access. Eligible private-beta workspaces configure API keys in dashboard settings.

Can I pay once for subtitle timing without a subscription?

After your one-time 15 free Timing Minutes, you can buy one, two, or three 60-minute packs in one checkout: 60 minutes for $6, 120 for $12, or 180 for $18. There is no auto-renewal and no expiry. Each Script + Audio file is measured from the voiceover and rounded up to the next minute. Purchased minutes cover timing and eligible full exports. API, team features, and recurring capacity require a subscription. Compare one-time and subscription pricing.

Can I pay once for subtitle translation?

When the one-time translation pack is available, $3 covers 100 converted minutes: one source minute translated into one target language, with no auto-renewal. Compare pricing
